Assistant Facility Manager

Details Location: 1046 West Lincoln St, Papillion, NE 68046, United States Base Pay: 17.5 / Hour Job Category: Recreation, Part-Time, Manager Relocation Expense Covered: No Employee Type: Part-Time Required Degree: None Manage Others: Yes Position POSITION TITLE: Assistant Facility Manager REPORTS TO: Facility Manager / Recreation Coordinator SUPERVISES: Part-Time and Seasonal Staff Responsibilities Supervise subordinate employees, including scheduling, task assignment, performance monitoring, and disciplinary actions. Assist in preparing facilities for daily opening/closing, maintenance procedures, cleaning and inspecting equipment, and testing water samples if applicable. Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing facility programs. Enforce facility policies for staff and patrons; ensure hygiene, health, safety, and sanitation compliance. Ensure patrons use facilities appropriately; conduct regular walkthroughs and document accidents, injuries, and incidents. Keep supervised areas clean and orderly; maintain appearance and environment; notify maintenance/custodial staff as needed. Supervise patrons and program participants to ensure safe use; communicate facility information and expected behavior. Assist in financial activities including cash handling and documentation. Assist in orientation and training of new staff; attend regular staff meetings. Operate equipment and city vehicles safely in accordance with laws. Address questions, comments, and complaints with strong customer service; refer to supervisor when needed. Fill in for other employees as needed; aquatics duties include Lifeguard knowledge if applicable. Participate in citywide events as needed. Qualifications Essential Knowledge, Experience and Ability: Knowledge of technology and ability to work with various computer software; knowledge of safety rules; ability to model customer service; ability to learn and enforce policies; communication skills; document preparation; scheduling; confidentiality; handling stressful or hazardous situations; English communication; relationship building; regular attendance. Essential Education, Certification and/or Licenses: 1) Valid driver’s license; 2) Must be at least 18; 3) CPR/AED and First Aid certification within employer timeframe; 4) Nebraska Pool Operator and/or ARC Lifeguard certification if required; 5) State of Nebraska Responsible Beverage Service Training and/or ServSafe Manager Training if required; 6) Maintain all certifications. Essential Physical Demands Work may be indoors or outdoors; exposure to varied weather; continual physical activity (walking, standing, kneeling, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs).
