Inside Sales Agent

Join our mission‑driven team at Delta Dental of Iowa as an inside sales agent, where you will be responsible for the sales and retention of individual dental, vision, and legal insurance products through both inbound and outbound calls. In this role, you will foster a positive external image aligned with our corporate values, while making a meaningful impact on the lives of those we serve. This is a hybrid position located in Johnston, Iowa, and may be filled at a higher level, depending on qualifications. Responsibilities Lead and manage the quoting and selling of individual dental and vision insurance through inbound calls. Provide follow up through outbound calls. Consistently meet and exceed sales goals, demonstrating a high level of performance. Report on key performance indicators, providing detailed analysis and insights. Provide support to small business sales and service team. Foster an external image that is consistent with corporate values and objectives. Dependability in attendance and punctuality required. Job requires confidentiality with regards to consumer information acquired in carrying out the sales functions for the role. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related degree or equivalent work experience required. 6 months of related sales and/or marketing experience required, preferably in an inside sales center environment. Proven consultative sales skills and ability to achieve and exceed sales goals. Expert knowledge of dental and vision insurance products. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Iowa Health license required or must be attained within 30 days of hire. 2+ years related sales experience in an inside sales center environment (Preferred).
