Job Description
Exciting Opportunity for PCU RN - Night Shift

Job Description:


- Start Date: 11/17
- Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
- Commitment: Work required on Christmas, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day

Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of PCU RN experience
- License: Active CA RN License required
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS; NIHSS preferred

Responsibilities:
- Weekend Requirement: Yes, every other weekend
- Floating Requirement: Yes, to PCU, Med-Surg, and ED for boarding patients
- Pending License: Not accepted; must be active at the time of submission

Skills & Experience Needed:
- Charge nurse experience preferred
- Proficiency in charting systems (Cerner preferred)
- Experience with patient ratios (4:1)
- Experience in high-acuity settings (Telemetry, CVA management, etc.)
- Special Skills:
- BiPAP/CPAP management
- Chest tube care (Emerson/PleurEvac)
- Management of dysrhythmias and telemetry
- Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management
- Wound Care/Wound Vac

Unit Details:
- Patient Age Groups: Adults, Geriatrics
- Daily Census: 24 patients
- Total Beds: 26
- Interdisciplinary Support: Includes IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, and more
- Patient Diagnoses: Neuro/Med-Surg Tele, patients on medications such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, Heparin

Additional Information:
- Orientation Hours: 24
- Max RTO: 10 days, with none in the first 2 weeks
- Compliance Modules: Required pre-start and annually, non-billable, up to 2 hours
