Key Responsibilities

• Contribute professional and clinical nursing knowledge and skills in the provision and management of patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Provide direct patient care within a Medical Surgical and Telemetry setting
• Administer and monitor drip medications including heparin, cardizem, nitro, non-DKA insulin, and amiodarone
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic EMR
• Float within the same discipline across local campuses as needed
• Fulfill required holiday coverage, including up to two of three designated summer holidays

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Illinois state license required
• Current BLS certification (AHA)
• Current ACLS certification (AHA)
• Current NIHSS certification
• Epic EMR experience required
• Valid Driver's License required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• At least one prior travel nursing contract completed
• Experience managing telemetry patients and vasoactive or cardiac drips
• Skills checklist completed within the past year
