Registered Nurse Operating Room

Role Overview: The Registered Nurse Operating Room provides patient-centered perioperative care, ensuring safety and quality throughout surgical procedures. Key Responsibilities: Evaluate patients pre-surgery, educate families, prepare patients with medications and site verification, participate in surgical protocols, recognize emergencies, and document patient conditions. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, apply evidence-based practices, and deliver safe nursing care. Qualifications: Current RN licensure, BLS certification, minimum one year perioperative experience, ACLS and PALS certifications within six months, with preferred CNOR credential. BSN is preferred. Skills & Attributes: Critical thinking, technical proficiency, effective communication, teamwork, and leadership in a fast-paced surgical environment.
