HVAC Design Technician Senior

HVAC Design Technician SeniorWe're looking for a Senior HVAC Design Technician who can step in and contribute immediately. In this role, you'll collaborate with multidisciplinary design and engineering teams to lead the development of complex industrial HVAC and Process Exhaust systems for advanced facilities.You will be responsible for:Lead design, layout, and routing of industrial building mechanical systemsDevelop P&IDs, plans, sections, and construction detailsPerform design tasks across planning, concept, and detailed designCoordinate directly with clients, contractors, and internal disciplinesApply expert knowledge of building mechanical systems and codes to ensure quality and accuracyThis role is ideal for an experienced designer who thrives in a fast paced environment and can operate with a high degree of independence, technical judgment, and initiative.Basic Qualifications:Candidates with a 4-yr degree (BSME) are overqualified for the role and will be filtered out (similar to PHDs)Candidate should have 3 of the last 5 years in a "Revit HVAC Designer" role designing Ductwork systemsCandidates with only residential/commercial experience are underqualified for the role and will be filtered outCandidate must have some "Industrial Facility Design" experience, 5+ years required, anything less will be filtered outIndustries: semiconductor, manufacturing, chemical, pharmaceutical, pulp and paper, mining & metals, etc.Candidate should have 10+ years of total design experience. Exceptional candidates below this experience threshold may be considered for a lower job tier for a similar roleCandidates submitted for the local roles should already be local to the posted State/ProvinceEven "exceptional" candidates are likely to be filtered out if they are not local to the job postingHigh school diploma or GED8+ years of AutoCAD design experience4+ years of Revit design experience5+ years of industrial building mechanical design experienceStrong working knowledge of U.S. Mechanical Codes, specifically the International Mechanical Code (IMC).Demonstrated ability to independently execute design packages with minimal supervisionPreferred Qualifications:Experience in complex industrial environments such as semiconductor manufacturing, cleanrooms, data centers or other advanced manufacturing facilities.Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teamsTechnical or Associate's degree in a relevant disciplineStrong communication skills (verbal and written)Advanced problem solving, planning, and analytical skills.About our Company:DataSoft Technologies is a highly recognized provider of professional IT Consulting services in the US.
