About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief of Gastroenterology to lead its Division of Gastroenterology. The successful candidate will be a physician with a unique vision, enthusiasm, and experience, particularly in the treatment of liver disease. This role is pivotal in overseeing the strategic growth and direction of the division, with a strong emphasis on operational integration. The Chief will be responsible for all aspects of the division, including planning, policy, operations, and the oversight of academic, research, and clinical programs. A key aspect of the position is the ability to balance clinical leadership with educational responsibilities, especially those tied to residency programs and quality outcomes. Applicants for the Chief of Gastroenterology position at the company must hold an MD, DO, or equivalent degree, be board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology, and have a strong background in clinical care, research, and teaching. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of national distinction and be recognized as an outstanding leader in the field. The role requires a candidate with a service-oriented, team-based philosophy, and a successful history of recruitment and development of faculty, trainees, and students. While not mandatory, additional health profession degrees and experience in the development of new academic programs are preferred. The Chief will also serve as the physician lead for gastroenterology services at the company, making a commitment to patient care and a diverse, inclusive work environment essential.
