Sheet Metal Helper
Richard's Heating and Air Repair, Inc.
Tri-Valley Area, CA (Sunol, Hayward, Livermore, Alamo, Pleasanton, Dublin & surrounding communities)
$20.00 - $30.00 per hour (DOE) | Full-Time
Richard's Heating and Air Repair is a family-owned HVAC company with over 25 years of service in the Tri-Valley. We're growing and looking for a motivated Sheet Metal Helper to support our installation team.
- Competitive hourly pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour

- Sick Leave earned at 1 hour per 30 hours worked (per California requirements)
Paid Time Off (PTO)
- 1 week (5 days) during the first year
- 2 weeks (10 days) after Year 1
- 3 weeks (15 days) after Year 2
- 4 weeks (20 days) after Year 5
What You'll Do
- Assist with installation of saddles, coping, flashing, metal panels, and other sheet metal components
- Support layout, cutting, forming, and assembly of sheet metal
- Help read and follow architectural and mechanical drawings
- Maintain a clean and safe job site
- Work alongside experienced installers to learn and grow your skills
- Perform general labor tasks as needed to support the crew
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Technical or Trade school certification in sheet metal or HVAC preferred
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods
- Ability to drive to job sites daily
- OSHA 30 or 10 certification preferred
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Must be able to drive own vehicle to job sites
Physical & Work Environment
- Must wear proper PPE at all times
- Comfortable working in a production shop environment with exposure to noise, sharp materials, and machinery
- Able to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods
Previous sheet metal or construction experience is a plus but not required - we are willing to train the right candidate.
