Hartford School District Office of Special Education Programs - White River Junction, Vermont Starting Date: Aug 19, 2026 Job Description The Hartford School District (SD 54) seeks a dedicated and qualified School Psychologist to support students’ academic, social, emotional, and behavioral well‑being through comprehensive psycho‑educational evaluations and collaborative problem‑solving with school staff and families. The position reports to the Director of Special Education and Clinical Director and works closely with evaluation teams, case managers, and educators to assess student needs, interpret data, and develop intervention strategies. Responsibilities Conduct psycho‑educational evaluations for special education eligibility. Administer and interpret psychological assessments. Consult with teachers, families, and mental health professionals. Provide technical support on behavioral and learning challenges. Collaborate with school staff, community providers, and mental health professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student success. Qualifications Master’s degree or higher in school psychology or related field. License or certification as a School Psychologist or Clinical Psychologist (or eligibility). At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred. Citizenship, residency, or valid work visa required.
