Seasonal Lifeguards and Water Safety Instructors

Seasonal Lifeguards and Water Safety Instructors Qualifications: Must be age 16 or older. Must hold current Lifeguard, First Aid, and CPR certifications. Water Safety Instructor certification is required for WSI roles and is a plus for Lifeguard applicants. Strong ability to work and communicate effectively with both children and adults. Must remain alert, attentive, responsible, and calm in emergency situations. Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions, including heat and noise. Strong aquatic skills and proficiency in lifeguarding surveillance, rescue techniques, CPR, and emergency response. Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and assisting swimmers in distress. The Town of Shirley is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
