Department 11906 AMC Burlington - Environmental Services Status Full time Benefits Eligible Yes Hours Per Week 40 Schedule Details/Additional Information Full time 40 hours per week, 2nd shift, rotating holidays, work every 3rd weekend. Pay Range $20.80 - $31.20 Major Responsibilities Lead co-workers in the day-to- day operations of the Environmental Services department (EVS) program. Confers, plans ahead with supervisory staff, on job assignments, projects and activities. Verifies completion of all assigned duties/tasks by Environmental Services staff according to EVS procedures. Responsibility for assisting in scheduling of the Environmental Services staff. Adjusts the daily schedule to ensure proper staffing in all areas. Functions as Environmental Services Tech, knowing all positions/responsibilities within department. When in a lead role: Role in Hazardous Materials, spills and disaster plans Assists in competencies Monitor Bed Tracking Monitors lunch and breaks Liaison between EVS and customers/staff as needed Coordinate projects/set ups Assist with room inspection high touch, etc. Issues key, pagers, equipment, etc Makes suggestions for work improvement Supply and equipment use and maintenance. Assists in training and introducing new equipment and cleaning methods by demonstrating techniques and procedures Inspects equipment and supplies for cleanliness and possible damage, to ensure that it is in working for the next shift use and maintenance of all equipment. Communicate to leadership associate performance, conduct, issues, etc. Customer Satisfaction - Demonstrates a commitment to satisfying customer needs and exceeding customer expectations. Continues to improve patient and customer satisfaction scores. Maintains courteous and pleasant attitude to patients, families and other contacts. Utilizes appropriate chain of command in resolving complaints, grievances Maintains confidential patient and departmental information. Presents department in a positive manner to all contacts. Utilizes AIDET with both Internal Customers and External Customers. Demonstrates ability to identify and resolve interpersonal conflicts constructively when dealing with fellow associates. Demonstrates a positive, supportive attitude to patient families and other personnel in emergency and non-emergency situations. Displays patient and tact when dealing with other hospital personnel. Trains associates and assists in Department Orientation Process. Maintains licenses and certificates as appropriate Fulfills operating unit, competencies, and required training. Education/Experience Required High School diploma or equivalent Leadership experience preferred.
