Maintenance Tech

Maintenance TechnicianLiberty Tire Recycling is seeking a Maintenance Technician. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining and repairing a variety of equipment and systems, ensuring safe and efficient operations. This position requires a hands-on approach to troubleshooting and servicing mechanical and electrical systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Duties and Responsibilities:Perform a variety of maintenance tasks including electrical and mechanical repairs, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance of equipment and systems.Service trailers and repair and replace industrial equipment as needed.Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.Maintain and repair conveyor systems: install belts, tighten, adjust, straighten, align, and replace parts.Perform Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures to ensure safe working conditions.Work cooperatively with co-workers and supervisors to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and safely.Ensure that all work is completed following safety guidelines and procedures.Ability to work in awkward, confined spaces, using proper lifting and rigging techniques for heavy objects.Work in both indoor and outdoor environments, which may include extreme temperatures, hazardous equipment, and slippery surfaces.Be self-motivated and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency.Perform other job duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities:Work in both indoor and outdoor environments, which may include extreme temperatures, hazardous equipment, and slippery surfaces.Conveyor experience neededExperience in mechanical/electrical repair within a manufacturing environment.Familiarity with high-voltage wiring, especially 480V 3-phase motors.Knowledge and experience with motor control systems (preferred).Proficiency in multi-craft maintenance and repair, with a focus on both electrical and mechanical systems.Ability to lift 15 to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, and stretching.Willingness to work in challenging environments with extreme temperatures, humidity, and hazardous equipment.Availability to work nights and weekends as needed.Strong commitment to safety policies and procedures, minimizing risk to self and others.Education and Experience:At least two years of electrical training or experience in mechanical/electrical repair within a manufacturing environment (highly preferred).Maintenance manufacturing experience, technical school training, electrical certification, or welding experience (highly preferred).Trailer mechanic experience (preferred).Previous experience with industrial machinery and equipment maintenance.High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).Benefits:Medical, Dental, Vision, 401KEEO Statement:Liberty Tire Recycling is an equal opportunity employer.
