Director, RDU IT Business Partner, Commercial - Alexion
AstraZeneca
Director-level IT Business Partner role supporting AstraZeneca's Alexion US Commercial organization. This position shapes technology, data, digital, and AI capabilities aligned with commercial strategy, launch readiness, and patient outcomes. Based in Boston with hybrid work arrangement and up to 20% travel.
Responsibilities
- Serve as senior IT advisor for US Commercial business areas, aligning technology and AI roadmaps with strategic priorities
- Build relationships with senior Commercial stakeholders and translate objectives into prioritized capability roadmaps
- Steward Commercial IT portfolio including demand intake, prioritization, funding, and value realization tracking
- Lead launch technology planning for new products and indications across Sales, Marketing, and Commercial Training
- Identify and scale high-value AI, analytics, and automation opportunities across Commercial workflows
Requirements
- Senior IT business partnership experience in commercial or pharma environments
- Demonstrated ability to translate business strategy into technology and data roadmaps
- Experience leading portfolio governance, demand prioritization, and value realization
- Strong stakeholder management and influence across business and technology functions
- AI literacy and experience identifying high-value AI and automation opportunities
- Knowledge of compliance, privacy, and financial controls in regulated environments
