Senior Salesforce Developer

Salary: $187,200 - 208,000 per year Requirements:

• At least 6 years of hands-on Salesforce development experience, including delivery of external-facing Experience Cloud portals and web applications.
• Strong Lightning Web Components skills, including component design, event handling, data access patterns, and performance considerations.
• Extensive Salesforce Flow experience, with the ability to build robust automations and maintain scalable, clear implementations.
• Working Apex development skills for functionality not achievable declaratively, including unit testing and deployment readiness.
• Ability to assess out-of-the-box Salesforce features against custom development and recommend solutions that balance speed, maintainability, and platform alignment.
• Clear, concise communication skills, including explaining technical decisions, documenting approaches, and working effectively with limited supervision.
• Preferred: Experience building Experience Cloud sites with Lightning Web Runtime (LWR), delivering greenfield Salesforce implementations, or working with Salesforce Service Cloud or Marketing Cloud.
• Preferred: Salesforce API and integration experience, particularly with .NET applications, SharePoint, or Microsoft Teams.
• Preferred: Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar tools for work tracking, CI/CD, and release management.
• Preferred: Salesforce certifications such as Platform Developer I (PD1), Platform Developer II (PD2), and/or Data Architect.
• Must live within the continental United States.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. Green Card holder; visa sponsorship and other work authorization types are not available.
• Independent contractors must have an LLC or S-Corp; third-party contractors are not eligible.

• Build and enhance an external-facing Experience Cloud portal, using Lightning Web Components and aligning its behavior, performance, and security with business needs.
• Develop and optimize Salesforce Flows for business processes, including debugging, error handling, and maintainable design.
• Use Apex classes, triggers, and asynchronous patterns when configuration and Flow are insufficient, emphasizing testability and long-term support.
• Evaluate standard Salesforce capabilities against custom solutions and recommend approaches based on complexity, risk, scalability, and timelines.
• Turn requirements into technical designs and working software, identifying gaps, edge cases, and downstream impacts.
• Independently manage technical delivery and work to provide predictable progress and high-quality outcomes.
• Explain implementation options and tradeoffs to technical and non-technical stakeholders, and tactfully recommend improvements where appropriate.
• Troubleshoot Experience Cloud, LWC, Flow, and Apex issues, and resolve root causes through verification and release.

We are seeking a Senior Salesforce Developer to lead hands-on delivery of an external-facing Salesforce Experience Cloud portal, with a strong focus on Lightning Web Components and Flow. The role calls for sound judgment in selecting standard platform features or custom development, and ownership of solutions from design through release. This is a remote, indefinite contract role for candidates based in the continental United States, available on W-2 or 1099/independent contractor terms.
