Power Generation Project Manager

Power Generation Project Manager HDR is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Michigan-based Power Generation team. You will work with a multi‑discipline team that supports power and energy projects across the industrial, institutional, municipal, IPP and utility sectors. The role requires strong client interaction from pre‑positioning through project completion and involves selling, managing proposals, planning, budgeting, scheduling and leading complex design and consulting assignments. Responsibilities Develop and maintain positive, proactive client relationships. Achieve project schedule, quality and profitability goals. Serve as proposal champion/manager; assist with proposal preparation, review of contract terms and conditions, and evaluate risks associated with the services being offered. Lead the project team and technical staff to complete project activities. Maintain regular communication and coordination within the project team and with the client so that the project work plan and client expectations are aligned. Monitor project deliverables for quality, completeness and conformance to client expectations. Proactively manage the project budget and schedule; develop recovery plans for potential shortfalls. Monitor the contracted scope of work and identify scope changes. Provide training and mentoring to project team staff on project‑management and project‑consulting issues. Perform design or consulting work in the manager’s area of engineering expertise. Report project progress to the local and regional accounting and operations teams. Perform any other duties as assigned. Preferred Qualifications PMP certification. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field. 7 years of related experience. Minimum of 2 years of project management experience. Ability to interact with various design teams and strong organizational, project‑management and communication skills (both written and verbal).
