Senior Tax Analyst

Salary: $65,900 - 107,900 per year Requirements:

• A bachelors degree with 4 or more years of corporate tax experience, or a high school diploma or equivalent with 6 or more years of corporate tax experience, or a Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with an associate degree and 4 or more years of corporate tax experience
• Experience with income tax
• Knowledge of statutory accounting
• Insurance industry experience is preferred
• CPA certification is preferred
• Strong prioritization and organizational skills are preferred

• Prepare or review complex tax returns, supporting workpapers, estimated tax payments, and other tax compliance items
• Prepare or review quarterly tax provisions, including management and external auditor reporting, account reconciliations, tax basis balance sheet support, and internal controls
• Support tax audits, responses to tax notices, and resolution of tax controversy matters
• Conduct technical research to address complex tax issues and planning opportunities
• Provide additional tax support, including analysis of pending legislation, transfer pricing documentation and reporting, and implementation of legislative changes
• Review and improve processes within the immediate area of responsibility
• Monitor legislative and organizational developments related to the assigned functions
• May plan, coordinate, schedule, and oversee selected functions to ensure timely completion
• Participate in local projects or initiatives, assess the impact on local reporting units, and help implement changes locally
