Here's a summary of responsibilities:

The U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Medical Network (MN) Liaison will provide comprehensive support in facilitating athlete medical services within defined USOPC athlete healthcare programs. This role involves coordinating appointments between MN partners, USOPC Clinics, and Olympic & Paralympic athletes. The Liaison will also assist in securing air travel, ground transportation, and lodging for athletes through coordination with sponsors. Administrative duties include data entry, digital filing, calendar management, record-keeping, sending and tracking surveys, and other tasks as assigned. The ideal candidate will have strong multi-tasking abilities, excellent organizational skills, and a customer service mindset reflective of the USOPC's values and mission.


Here's how you'll have an impact:

Athlete & NGB Experience

1. Provide world-class customer service to internal and external stakeholders, including Olympic and Paralympic athletes, National Governing Bodies (NGBs), USOPC partner liaisons, and USOPC staff, ensuring that all interactions meet or exceed defined team standards and success outcomes.
2. Assess athletes' eligibility for services on an individual basis and schedule necessary treatments, diagnostic studies, specialist referrals, and other appointments with USOPC clinics and Medical Network partners, as directed.
3. Respond promptly and professionally to MN-related inquiries and requests, demonstrating a proactive approach to addressing athlete needs with sensitivity and attention to detail.
4. Coordinate air travel, ground transportation, and lodging arrangements for athletes utilizing MN services, supporting the unique needs of each individual and in alignment with program policies.
5. Coordinate with volunteer dental providers to facilitate care for eligible athletes and manage administrative processes within the dental program.
6. Maintain a thorough understanding of the Medical Network, general medical terminology, health insurance processes, and USOPC-sponsored resources available to athletes.
7. Obtain and organize athlete consent forms, medical records, and diagnostic studies, ensuring appropriate documentation is accurately imported into the electronic health records (EHR) system.

Programs Support

1. Manage administrative tasks related to the athlete referral process, including submitting cost requests, processing athlete travel expenses, correcting billing errors, ensuring timely and accurate data and documentation in the MN database, maintaining digital files, and providing formal written communication to athletes.
2. Facilitate processes related to approvals and formal communication within the Medical Assistance Fund, Contact Lens Program, Volunteer Dental Program, and other USOPC-sponsored medical resources, as determined.
3. Support the Sports Medicine department by contributing to team efforts and coordinating various processes related to athlete medical care.
4. Track key metrics and provide feedback on the efficiency and quality of the customer service process to ensure continuous improvement.
5. Provide ground transportation services for athletes attending local MN medical appointments, when necessary.
6. Handle sensitive medical information with the utmost confidentiality, ensuring compliance with privacy standards and USOPC policies regarding patient health information.
7. Assist with other projects and tasks as assigned.

Here are the skills and experience you'll need to be effective:

• Associate's Degree in business administration, healthcare administration, non-profit management, public health, or a related field
• Past job experience may be accepted in place of formal education
• 2+ years' experience in healthcare or administrative experience
• 2+ years' customer service experience
• Passion for sport and the ideals of the Olympic and Paralympic Movement
• Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to perform all duties within HIPAA regulations
• Proficiency with Microsoft Applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Office 365, SharePoint
• Ability to establish and maintain effective professional relationships with all staff levels and external constituents
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality service
• Ability to deal with non-routine matters, competing priorities, and deadlines in a high-volume setting

Here's some more information you need to know:

• Hiring pay range $24.97 - $27.16 per hour.
• This Full-Time, Non-Exempt position is intended to work 40 hours per week.
• Bonus: This position will be eligible for the Annual Incentive Award Program, which has a 5% target. The USOPC may change or eliminate this program at any time at its sole discretion.
