The Team You Will Be Joining 

You will be joining the primary state agency responsible for managing healthcare coverage and administering vital public health programs for hundreds of thousands of Oklahomans. As a cornerstone of the state's health infrastructure, this organization is committed to improving health outcomes, providing high-quality care access, and building a high-performing team dedicated to public service.

Major Duties

• Execute all phases of the recruitment process as assigned, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding, with an emphasis on consistently advancing a high volume of requisitions.
• Implement strategies to attract top talent, including posting and optimizing job advertisements and supporting a positive candidate experience.
• Collaborate with external advertisers as needed to support the placement and management of job postings, ensuring positions are accurately represented across relevant platforms.
• Work with hiring managers as directed by the supervisor to understand recruitment needs and support alignment with organizational objectives.
• Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and an interview panel, managing logistics efficiently across a high volume of active requisitions.
• Communicate with candidates consistently throughout the recruitment process, providing timely status updates, next steps, and disposition notifications to ensure a professional candidate experience.
• Communicate and provide regular updates to hiring managers on candidate status, pipeline progress, and any changes or developments related to their open positions.
• Manage job requisitions in Workday, including opening, updating, and closing requisitions accurately and in a timely manner.
• Support the offer management process.
• Initiate and track pre-employment steps such as background checks, ensuring timely completion and accurate recordkeeping.
• Use organizational technology tools to manage recruitment workflows and maintain accurate records, primarily including Workday and the Microsoft 365 suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, Forms, Lists, OneDrive, OneNote, and Planner).
• Maintain and update a recruitment tracking list/spreadsheet on a daily basis, ensuring accurate and current data on all active positions, candidate status, and pipeline progress.
• Coordinate with the Communications team, as assigned, to support targeted social media campaigns for hard-to-fill roles.
• Prepare and submit regular recruitment status updates and tracking reports as requested by the supervisor.
• Follow established recruitment SOPs with precision and consistency, adhering to all process steps, documentation requirements, and timelines as outlined.
• Maintain working knowledge of HR compliance requirements and ensure all assigned recruitment activities meet legal and policy standards.
• Identify and communicate opportunities to reduce inefficiencies in recruitment workflows to the supervisor.
• Represent HR at agency events as assigned, supporting employer brand and community engagement efforts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor’s degree plus 1 year of professional experience in human resources management OR a master’s degree in HR, I/O psychology, public administration, sociology, psychology, or a closely related field plus 1 year of professional HR experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Qualifying HR experience must include at least one of the following primary duties: job analysis, position classification, wage/salary and benefits administration, civil rights administration, recruitment, or payroll administration (incidental HR duties do not qualify).
• Proven track record in full-cycle recruitment (sourcing, screening, interviewing, onboarding) with a focus on optimizing workflows for efficiency and volume.
• Expertise in leveraging recruitment technology, including Workday ATS and the Microsoft 365 suite.
• Relevant professional HR certification, such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP.

Exciting Opportunity Details

• Rate: $28.00/hour
• Length of Engagement: 6–12 Months (Target Start Date: 9/1/2026)
• Days/Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Location: Oklahoma City, OK (Full-Time, In-Office; In-Person Interview Required)
