About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse ER Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ER Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Active New York Single State RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Epic charting experience required Ability to float within skillset IV therapy skills including blood product administration, central line care, and phlebotomy Description: The position requires a Registered Nurse specializing in the emergency room for adult patients. Shift hours are 7 PM to 7 AM. The contract length is 13 weeks. The role includes the following responsibilities: - Utilizing Epic for patient charting. - Managing a patient ratio of 1:5 for adults and geriatrics. - Providing emergency care for adult and pediatric patients. - Administering IV therapy, including fluids and medications. - Monitoring cardiac dysrhythmias and providing CPR as needed. - Supporting trauma care including stroke interventions and managing gunshot wounds. - Ensuring isolation precautions and proper triage for patients. - Floating within the unit based on patient care needs. Candidates must be able to work every other holiday as required and be prepared to submit requests for time off upon application. The facility promotes advanced emergency care and is recognized for stroke management capabilities. Successful candidates will engage with interdisciplinary teams including respiratory services and pharmacy. This role demands strong clinical skills and the ability to handle high-stress situations effectively.
