UX Researcher

THE POSITION Our roster has an opening with your name on it. FanDuel is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our Sports UX team as a UX Researcher. You’ll take part in meaningful work and real‑life projects as you gain an in-depth look into the inner workings of one of the world’s premier sports‑technology & entertainment companies. This position will support our New Ventures team. In addition to the specific responsibilities outlined above, employees may be required to perform other such duties as assigned by the Company. This ensures operational flexibility and allows the Company to meet evolving business needs. THE GAME PLAN As a UX Researcher on the New Ventures team, you will collaborate closely with a multi‑disciplinary team including Product, Product Design, Content Design, Engineering, Marketing, Commercial, and Analytics to continue bringing user insights to the product design and development process. In this role you will be required to: Demonstrate an advanced understanding of our users and how they engage with our products. Demonstrate a solid understanding of the product under study, including relevant journeys, user needs, challenges, and the FanDuel business. Successfully organize, facilitate, and analyze unmoderated and medium‑complexity moderated user research, while taking measurable steps to learn how to conduct more complex studies. Translate business questions or hypotheses into research objectives and a clear research plan. Demonstrate storytelling skills by clearly and succinctly communicating research findings across various formats, while connecting it back to the business and customer goals. Identify and clearly articulate areas for improvement based on research findings. Conduct heuristic analyses and make recommendations based on best practices. THE STATS What we’re looking for in our next teammate Minimum of 3+ years of previous User Experience Research experience. Strong knowledge of User Experience Research methodologies and best practices. Demonstrated success working as part of a cross‑functional team that includes UX Design, Product, and Engineering. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of sports and/or experience working within a heavily regulated industry is a plus. If you don’t check all the boxes, that’s okay! The applicable salary range for this position is $94,000 - $129,250 USD, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short‑term or long‑term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation.
