Reporting Analyst

Job Title: Reporting Analyst
Location: Fairfax, Virginia
Type: Contract-to-Hire
Compensation: $35
Contractor Work Model: Hybrid - onsite and remote

Responsibilities

• Shape and execute reporting strategy for data collected to support critical business decisions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and create reports that meet business requirements.
• Identify functional requirements through process analysis, document review, and stakeholder meetings.
• Work with Developers and System Architects to design system concepts from both business and technical perspectives.
• Analyze data to develop insights, create and test reports, incorporate feedback, and finalize reports for production.
• Conduct quality control, communicate findings, and obtain stakeholder approval for reporting outputs.
• Prepare ad hoc analyses, investigate complex issues, and develop reports to support reporting needs.
• Interpret data and provide recommendations to improve reporting processes and efficiency.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts to capture and manage requirements, including changes and updates.
• Support the development of standard operating procedures and business operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field. In lieu of a degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience.
• Proven experience turning data into meaningful analysis and presenting findings to stakeholders.
• Experience developing Return on Investment (ROI) analyses and communicating value to management.
• Strong research and investigative skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with T-SQL, Server and ETL tools.
• Familiarity with Access and data analytics tools such as Power BI or MS 365.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
• On-site work environment required.
