Contract | Rotating Day/Night Shifts | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit with potential to float to other units serving the same patient population
• Monitor and interpret ECG cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with facility protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Rotate holiday coverage as required, working at minimum every other holiday
• Complete required orientation assessments, including ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety evaluations, with acceptable scores

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 months of combined permanent experience in Medical Surgical/Telemetry nursing; travel experience may be considered for the recent experience requirement
• Active, permanent Ohio RN license or Compact state license in hand at time of submission (Compact licenses accepted for starts dated 1/1/2023 and forward)
• Active BLS certification through AHA or American Red Cross
• Active ACLS certification through AHA or American Red Cross
• Active NIHSS certification
• No open background case or license hits; all required certifications must be active with nothing pending

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 18 months of permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience obtained within a single facility
• Prior travel nursing experience in a Medical Surgical/Telemetry setting
• Familiarity with ECG rhythm interpretation and electronic medication safety platforms
