Support student growth and school communities by serving as a Behavior Specialist within a vibrant, collaborative educational environment. Multiple contract positions are currently available, with full-year and leave coverage opportunities. These roles focus on supporting students, educators, and families through expert behavioral assessment, intervention, and consultation.
Openings include:
- Two full-year Behavior Specialist positions (2.0 FTE)
- Two short-term Behavior Specialist roles (one covering a leave through approximately mid-October, another through the end of September and potentially longer)
Qualifications & Skills:
- Advanced degree in Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Psychology, or closely related field
- Direct experience in a job-related educational or behavioral support role
- Current licensure: valid special education teaching license, school social worker license, or school psychologist license (issued by the Professional Education Licensing and Standards Board), or Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)—those in process for BCBA will also be considered
- Completion of nonviolent crisis intervention training
- Experience as an Emotional Behavioral Disorder Teacher or Autism Spectrum Disorder Teacher with background in behavioral intervention, or as a BCBA or Behavioral Analyst
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct behavioral assessments and deliver analytic interpretations to parents, school personnel, and community partners
- Collaborate with educators and specialists on Social Learning Profiles, Functional Behavioral Assessments, and Behavior Intervention Plans
- Design effective data collection systems, evaluate program outcomes, and recommend modifications to support improved student performance
- Partner with multidisciplinary teams to implement evidence-based interventions in both inclusive and specialized settings
