Catering Clerk - 32999We are currently looking for a Part Time 38 Catering Clerk to join our HUB Catering team located at the Carl Albert Service Center.Summary: Assist with the preparation, presentation, and service of catering events in an efficient and professional manner.Responsibilities:Provides first class customer service to both internal and external customers and responds to inquiries, compliments, and/or complaints with professionalism, courtesy, and efficiencyMaintains knowledge of and follows all rules, regulations, policies and guidelines for assigned areaKeeps equipment operational, systems and building ready for use - Keeps preventative maintenance schedules - Keeps maintenance records, following policy and procedures - Completes repairs and installs replacement parts - Reports needed changesPresent any concerns or complaints from event guests to Catering Coordinator in efficient and timely mannerSupport team in any team member absences by assisting in necessary tasks and roles to ensure smooth experience for customersAssist in prepping workstations as assigned by the Catering Coordinator (based on morning or evening shift needs)Assist in arranging food transport, kitchen prep set up, banquet area set up, serving food and any necessary clean up in both kitchen and banquet areasAbility to prepare food for service including but not limited to chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, cutting fruit, preparing meats and stocking inventory appropriatelyEnsures cleanliness, maintenance, safety and sanitation of kitchen and or other assigned areas and reports all necessary problems immediatelyHandles routine customer complaints and incidents, exhibiting the appropriate discretion to identify situations that require the attention of supervisory personnelMaintains proper sanitation and safety practicesPerforms all other duties as assignedCompetencies:Able to follow instructions, both written and oralAble to adhere to all scheduling and attendance requirementsAbility to handle difficult customers and situationsAbility to portray a positive image to guestsMust be self-motivatedHonesty, truthfulness, reliability, accountabilityAble to read, understand, apply, and retain knowledge of Chickasaw Nation, departmental, divisional and all other rules, regulations, policies, procedures and guidelinesKnowledge of industry best practicesAbility to multitaskExercises initiative in a variety of work-related situationsEstablishes professional working relationships as appropriateWorks well within a teamAbility to plan, organize and follow through on assignmentsAble to verbally communicate in a professional and positive manner with other team members, departments, guests and managementInterpersonal skills to motivate, investigate, inspireSkills:Must be able to operate various kitchen equipmentPossesses and utilizes basic mathematics skillsExperience:No prior experience requiredEducation:High School, GED or EquivalentCredentials:Standard Driver's LicensePass gaming background checkWorking Conditions:Pass pre-employment drug testWorks in a kitchen environmentMust be flexible with work scheduleSometimes lift and or carry up to 30 lbsSometimes bend, kneel, stoop, push, reachHand-eye coordination, reach and graspVisual acuity for detail, distance, color, depth perceptionListening and hearing abilityStanding up to 50% of shiftFast-paced environmentTraining: It is the responsibility of each employee to attend required training for their position or profession as determined by their line of support (LOS) or the leadership of the Chickasaw Nation.
