Accounting Manager (25956) Dunstable, England Salary: GBP45000 - GBP55000 per annum Accounting Manager Dunstable £45,000 - £55,000 DOE Butler Rose Public Practice is delighted to be supporting a friendly and long-established independent accountancy practice in the recruitment of an Accounting Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands‑on practice professional to manage their own portfolio while working within a close‑knit and supportive team environment. The role would suit either an experienced Manager or a Senior Accountant looking for career progression into a manager role. Key Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of circa 100 clients, primarily sole traders and small limited companies Prepare and review accounts, personal tax returns, VAT, CIS, bookkeeping, and MTD requirements Act as the main point of contact for clients, building strong long‑term relationships Support onboarding of new clients and oversee client billing Assist with CGT matters and wider client compliance requirements Manage and support a small team of junior staff Work across IRIS and cloud‑based accounting software platforms Key Requirements ACCA qualified (Part‑qualified/QBE candidates encouraged to apply) Strong experience within an accountancy practice environment Confident managing client relationships and onboarding new clients Experience across accounts, personal tax, VAT, bookkeeping, and CIS Knowledge of IRIS and cloud accounting systems Organised, approachable, and hands‑on in your working style Comfortable managing and mentoring junior staff What’s on Offer Genuine progression opportunities up to Director Enhanced pension contribution (5% of total salary) 20 days holiday + bank holidays, increasing with length of service Part‑time working options available Opportunity to take ownership of a varied client portfolio Supportive independent firm culture with long‑standing employees #J-18808-Ljbffr
