Working Framing Foreman - Commercial Construction

1776 Construction Builders LLC is looking for an experienced Working Framing Foreman to lead a commercial metal-stud framing crew. This is a hands-on position . We are looking for someone who can lead a crew while also working alongside them in the field. This is not a superintendent-only or supervisory position . Responsibilities: Perform and oversee layout using construction drawings and field dimensions Frame commercial metal-stud walls, soffits, ceilings, headers, door openings, and other assemblies Read and understand architectural plans, details, reflected ceiling plans, and specifications Lead the crew while actively performing framing work Assign daily tasks and keep the crew productive and on schedule Make sure walls are properly located, plumb, level, square, and built according to plans Coordinate field conditions with other trades and identify conflicts Track manpower, materials, and job progress Communicate material and project needs to the superintendent/project management team Maintain quality standards and correct issues before they become punch-list items Enforce jobsite safety requirements and maintain an organized work area Communicate immediately when drawings or field conditions are unclear Take ownership of the crew’s workmanship, productivity, and assigned scope What We’re Looking For: Experienced commercial metal-stud framer Strong layout and framing skills Able to read and understand construction drawings Experience leading and managing a framing crew Able to independently lay out work and solve normal field issues Strong communication and leadership skills Safety and quality focused Willing to put on a tool belt and work alongside the crew throughout the day Important: This is a Working Foreman position.
