Location: Al's Oasis – Oacoma, SD Job Type: Full-Time and/or Part-Time Department: Restaurant & Retail Operations Join Our Team! Al's Oasis is looking for a friendly, dependable, and detail-oriented Cashier to provide exceptional customer service while accurately processing transactions in both our restaurant and gift shop. In this role, you'll greet guests, operate the point-of-sale system, handle payments, and help ensure every guest leaves with a positive experience. If you're organized, customer-focused, and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to meet you! What You’ll Do Guest Service Welcome guests with a friendly and professional attitude. Provide outstanding customer service throughout each interaction. Answer questions about restaurant menu items, gift shop products, and Al's Oasis. Help create a positive checkout experience for every guest. Cashiering & Register Operations Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately. Process cash, credit card, and other payment transactions. Process refunds and exchanges according to company policy. Balance cash drawers and follow all cash handling procedures. Serve as cashier for both the restaurant and gift shop as assigned. Store Operations Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked checkout area. Assist with light housekeeping around the register area. Support daily operations and assist with additional tasks as assigned by management. What We're Looking For Preferred Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous cashier, retail, or customer service experience preferred. Willing to train the right candidate. Skills & Abilities Excellent customer service and communication skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Basic math and cash handling skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Dependable, punctual, and professional. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Ability to bend, reach, and perform light cleaning tasks. Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Why Join Our Team?
