TEAM LEADER (CULINARY) (FULL TIME)

Position Details We are hiring immediately for a full‑time CULINARY TEAM LEADER position. Location: Harbor UCLA Medical Center – 1000 West Carson Street, Torrance, CA 90502. Online applications only. Schedule: Full‑time, flexible. Nights and weekends may be required. Experience: Previous culinary or large‑batch cooking experience required; healthcare setting experience preferred. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist the Manager on Duty by coordinating production, safety, and customer service. Oversee and participate in food and beverage preparation and service while adhering to company standards, HACCP, OSHA guidelines, and portion control. Oversee work procedures and expedite workflow to ensure timely, efficient meal service. Direct and participate in sanitation and safety of the facility and staff, following company and regulatory standards. Manage associate productivity and breaks; communicate performance issues to management. Onboard and train associates; conduct pre‑service meetings. Respond to customer needs and resolve concerns. Assist in menu planning and ordering; use appropriate company programs. Handle cash and complete daily, weekly, and monthly reports, including inventory and production records. Conduct routine checks of storage areas for cleanliness, organization, and compliance. Perform inventory tasks, monitor stock, communicate shortages, and arrange coverage for shifts. Monitor completion of food safety, temperature, and production logs. Work closely with management to ensure smooth communication and consistent workflow. Compensation and Perks Fixed Pay Rate: $26.15 per hour. Training and uniforms provided. Kaiser insurance. 401(k) plan.
