About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night, 3x12-hour and Day, 3x12-hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 18 months combined permanent experience in the specialty applying for, with 18 months of recent Medical/Surgical Telemetry experience preferred. License: Permanent state license required; compact state licenses accepted for applicable positions. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required. Must-Have: - Combined permanent experience in the specialty applying for. - Recent Medical/Surgical Telemetry experience, travel experience acceptable. - Active required certifications with nothing pending. - Two references from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty applying for. Description: Caring for patients in a Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit. Potential to float to other units to care for similar patient populations. Rotating shifts include days and nights, with variable schedules if needed to meet operational requirements. Travelers must work at least every other holiday. ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessments will be completed during orientation, requiring acceptable scores. Travelers will have a maximum of two attempts to pass assessments. All references must be from assignments worked in the past 12 months. Exemption from nicotine-free requirements applies to nursing roles temporarily. All other travelers must be nicotine-free; a negative drug screen is required. Candidates may extend with the client for a period of 18 months, after which a break may be required. Annual training modules and compliance assessments will be managed as per facility requirements. Candidates with open background checks or license hits will not be accepted.
