Location: Worcester, MA

Onsite Flexibility: Hybrid

Contract Details

• Position Type: Right to Hire
• Contract Duration: Average 3 4 months temp to hire employment
• Pay Rate: $24.00 $24.01 / Hour (USD)
• Shift / Schedule: Training schedule is 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday Friday. Following the training period, the shift will be either 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM or 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM; 7.75 hours/day (38.75 hours/week). May be required to work in office during initial training period.
• Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Job Summary

As an Associate Adjuster , you will play a vital role in the client's success by providing a critical service to the business and its customers. As a member of the Claims team, you will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment to help customers after an unexpected event. In your role, you will investigate, evaluate, and help settle customers' claims. You will be responsible for meeting and exceeding goals and metrics that drive the success of the claims organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform claim processing and payment functions on non-complex claims for personal auto policies in multiple states.
• Review electronic claim files for completeness and follow procedures for gathering missing information.
• Within specific guidelines, conduct outbound calls with a level of satisfaction that meets or exceeds customers' expectations by responding in a polite, professional, and empathetic manner, matching their needs with the company's services.
• Develop recognition of coverages, claim processing requirements, and related data processing systems. Claims handled would not involve determining liability, questionable damages, investigation, personal injury, or coverage issues.
• Utilize established guidelines to obtain appraisals and other needed information from insured; advise insured as to proper course of action.
• Record additional information/data into the company's network, updating the electronic claim file.
• Apply basic communication skills to interpret caller's inquiries and offer options.
• Set up predetermined reserves, including managing outbound calls to insured to confirm next steps.
• Collect and file bills/documentation and send outbound correspondence as needed.
• Manage appraisal, rental, and vendor processes.
• Confirm claim resolution and amount of payment.
• Handle Claims Service Rep. activities as needed, including handling calls from phone queue to provide claim assistance and identify complex claims that need to be reassigned.

Education Requirements

• Associate degree or working toward an associate degree is strongly preferred

Required Experience

• Typically, 1 3 years of experience in the service, financial, or hospitality industry preferred

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

• Ability to use a personal computer and other standard office equipment
• Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods (75% 90%)
• Ability to perform work in a dynamic environment
