Overview Physical Therapist – General, Sonora, CA Start date: August 24, 2026 | Duration: 13 weeks | Shift: 3x12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Guaranteed hours: 36 per week | Weekly pay: $1,984–$2,126 per week | Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital (travel - temporary assignment) Key Highlights Weekly pay range: $1,984–$2,126 per week Guaranteed hours: 36 per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM Start date: August 24, 2026 Travel assignment in a short-term acute care hospital setting Responsibilities Plan and conduct segments of physical therapy treatment programs to restore and improve physical, social and mental functions, aligning with department objectives. Conduct patient evaluations and establish individualized treatment plans using appropriate clinical techniques and tools. Provide therapy interventions following established protocols and adjust as needed; establish discharge plans and communicate them to the appropriate parties. Collaborate as a co-leader in an interdisciplinary approach to patient groups; participate in coordination with care teams. Complete comprehensive and accurate clinical documentation within established deadlines; supervise assigned PT assistants and support staff as appropriate. Requirements Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree; required (only if the license was obtained on or after January 2016; or foreign equivalent). Physical Therapy licensure in all applicable states of practice; required. CPR certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor per policy; required. Valid Driver’s License and must be at least 21 years of age; required. At least two years of recent field experience; current BLS certification; and a current nursing license per the state of assignment.
