Documentation Specialist
Location: Pasadena, TX (Onsite) Pay Rate: $27$29/hr on W2 Duration: 12 months Shift: 7:00 AM 3:45 PM (OT as needed) / 10:00 AM 7:00 PM
Support manufacturing and quality operations by managing documentation, compliance records, inspection-related activities, and quality documentation processes. Responsible for ensuring accurate documentation, supporting quality systems, maintaining material certifications, and coordinating with inspection teams to ensure timely shipment and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and manage product, quality, and compliance documentation.
- Support document control activities and ensure records are complete, accurate, and audit-ready.
- Download, create, maintain, and manage Certified Material Test Reports (CMTRs) and material heat reports.
- Create Certificates of Compliance (CoC) and Certificates of Origin (CoO).
- Upload completed documentation packages into document repositories/ERP systems.
- Support pre-assembly release and pack compliance activities.
- Coordinate documentation associated with inspection and quality activities.
- Verify warehouse-picked materials by confirming part numbers, serial numbers, and quantities.
- Report internal and external defects and assist with root cause investigations.
- Work closely with QC final inspection teams to support on-time shipment delivery.
- Utilize ERP systems and Excel for data tracking, reporting, and documentation analysis.
- Support quality data analysis and reporting activities, including Pareto analysis when required.
Required Skills
- Strong documentation and document control experience.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Knowledge of Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Quality systems and manufacturing process experience.
- Root Cause Analysis experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Dimensional inspection experience.
- Experience using calipers and measuring tools.
- Valve industry experience preferred.
- PMI experience preferred (training available).
- Manufacturing or quality environment experience.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate Degree preferred.
- 1+ years of manufacturing, quality, engineering, or documentation experience.
