Job Title: Production Supervisor Job Description

The Production Supervisor plans, coordinates, and oversees daily production activities within a large manufacturing environment that includes assembly and distribution segments. This role leads and develops team members, ensures adherence to established processes and work instructions, and drives safety, quality, and efficiency across all operations while collaborating closely with the materials department to support timely receipt and shipment of materials.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily production work to meet operational objectives and output targets.
• Train team members on processes, work instructions, standard work, and work elements to ensure consistent performance.
• Motivate and support team members to achieve high levels of productivity, quality, and safety.
• Monitor and measure team member performance for accuracy and document results on daily production metrics.
• Evaluate individual and team performance and provide feedback to drive continuous improvement.
• Identify and eliminate safety and housekeeping hazards to minimize workplace accidents and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Ensure employee compliance with all processes, work instructions, standard work, and work elements.
• Liaise with the materials department to coordinate on-time receipt and shipment of materials and components.
• Support the effectiveness of the integrated management system by following the Quality Policy and contributing to the achievement of company objectives.
• Conform to the processes and requirements of the integrated management system in all production activities.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience in supervision within a production, manufacturing, automotive, or supply chain/logistics environment.
• Strong production management and production supervision skills, including planning and coordination of daily operations.
• Demonstrated supervisory skills with the ability to lead, coach, and develop a diverse team.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build effective working relationships across departments.
• Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey expectations and provide feedback.
• Leadership skills to drive performance, maintain discipline, and foster a culture of safety and quality.
• Experience in automotive, manufacturing, or supply chain/logistics facilities, with familiarity in assembly and distribution operations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience and/or training in Occupational Health & Safety practices.
• Knowledge of 5S principles and their application in a manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of Lean methodologies and Lean manufacturing concepts.
• Ability to support and adhere to an integrated management system and Quality Policy.
• Industrial environment experience, particularly in large-scale manufacturing settings.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of York, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $29.00/hr.
