Job Title
This position involves a variety of inspection and maintenance duties for both nuclear and nonnuclear ships/boats.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing visual, liquid penetrant, magnetic particle, eddy current, and ultrasonic thickness inspections during removal and overhaul.
- Conducting audits and submitting reports and recommendations.
- Investigating and reporting on assigned problem areas and special projects.
- Carrying out inspections as a preventative maintenance measure on critical systems, welds, and components of nuclear submarines.
- Collaborating with engineers and metallurgists to investigate and resolve problems.
