Registered Nurse (RN) - ER

Emergency Nurse – Emergency Room

Schedule: Day Shift (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM) with Weekend and Holiday Rotation.

Assignment Details: Holiday coverage required.

Requirements:

• Active state RN licensure.
• Minimum 2 years of experience.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications required.
• NIHSS certification required.
• TNCC or TNS certification required.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; education verification is required.

Responsibilities:

• Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in caring for patients.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing techniques, policies and procedures, and standards of care.
• Documents according to standards of care.
• Performs assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care.
• Develops, initiates, and executes individual patient plans of care, including patient and family instruction.
• Participates in department performance improvement activities.
• Utilizes critical thinking regarding patient safety and experience and escalates issues to the appropriate chain of command.
• Participates in professional nursing continuum processes and peer review.
