Senior General Superintendent

We are seeking an experienced Senior General Superintendent to provide strategic and operational leadership across multiple construction projects. This senior role will oversee project execution from mobilisation through completion, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards. You will lead site-based teams, coordinate superintendents and subcontractors, and serve as a key point of contact for project leadership, clients, consultants, and other stakeholders.


Responsibilities will include developing and implementing construction plans, reviewing schedules and productivity targets, monitoring labour and equipment requirements, and coordinating activities across multiple work fronts. You will establish clear performance expectations, manage daily and weekly operational reporting, and proactively identify and resolve issues affecting safety, quality, cost, or programme. The role will also involve supporting procurement and subcontractor management, reviewing technical documentation, ensuring compliance with approved methods and specifications, and contributing to project forecasting, risk management, and commercial outcomes.


The successful candidate will bring significant experience in a senior site leadership role, ideally gained across complex construction, infrastructure, industrial, or civil projects. Strong knowledge of construction practices, health and safety requirements, quality systems, scheduling, and contract administration is essential. You will be a confident leader and communicator with the ability to influence teams, build productive relationships, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment. A relevant trade, technical, or tertiary qualification is preferred, along with demonstrated experience managing multiple teams and subcontractors. The ability to travel to project locations and work flexible hours when required will be expected.
