Therapy Team Leader The Therapy Team Leader assists the Director of Therapy Operations in the day-to-day operations of a therapy team or discipline. The position requires effective supervisory skills, strong communication for interdepartmental relationships, and competency in licensed discipline evaluation, assessment, care planning and treatment. Responsibilities Delegate and supervise tasks of therapist assistants and technicians. Assist with staffing, scheduling, orientation, training and communications to ensure adequate coverage for patient treatments. Maintain open and ongoing communication with hospital departments to meet patient, staff, and hospital needs. Provide patient care in licensed discipline 80%-90% of work hours. Create an environment that enables the hospital to fulfill its mission, holding staff accountable, motivating performance, and measuring, assessing, and continuously improving departmental operations. Mentor staff to improve clinical skills and overall performance through development and mentoring.
