About Turing Based in San Francisco, California, Turing is the world’s leading research accelerator for frontier AI labs and a trusted partner for global enterprises looking to deploy advanced AI systems. Turing accelerates frontier research with high-quality data, specialized talent, and training pipelines that advance thinking, reasoning, coding, multimodality, and STEM. For enterprises, Turing builds proprietary intelligence systems that integrate AI into mission‑critical workflows, unlock transformative outcomes, and drive lasting competitive advantage. Recognized by Forbes, The Information, and Fast Company among the world’s top innovators, Turing’s leadership team includes AI technologists from Meta, Google, Microsoft, Apple, Amazon, McKinsey, Bain, Stanford, Caltech, and MIT. Learn more at About the Role Turing is seeking a Technical Business Analyst who can operate comfortably in two worlds at once: the day‑to‑day realities of Operations and Finance, and the practical constraints of building software. This is a role for someone who listens deeply, asks sharp questions, maps real workflows, and translates that understanding into clear, testable requirements that engineering teams can deliver with confidence. You’ll join a global team supporting a leading alternative investment manager with more than 30 years of proven expertise across Private Equity, Credit, and Real Assets. The business is known for its integrated platform, strong investment performance, value‑oriented philosophy, and its people. You’ll work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and engineers to reduce ambiguity, improve shared understanding, and accelerate delivery — without sacrificing quality or control. What You’ll Do Lead discovery with stakeholders to understand current‑state workflows, pain points, controls, and desired outcomes. Distill ambiguity into clarity by writing crisp problem statements, scope boundaries, assumptions, risks, and success measures. Translate business needs into delivery‑ready artifacts: process flows, user stories, acceptance criteria, and non‑functional requirements. Partner with engineers and product owners to refine requirements, resolve tradeoffs, and keep execution unblocked. Support testing and validation by defining test scenarios, helping coordinate UAT, and ensuring delivered features match intent. Maintain traceability: align requirements to outcomes and support auditability where needed (controls, approvals, data lineage). Use AI tools responsibly to accelerate analysis and documentation — summarization, drafting, comparison, and gap analysis — while validating accuracy and protecting sensitive information. Communicate clearly and consistently, sharing status, decisions, and open questions in a way that builds trust. What We’re Looking For A track record of leading business analysis or requirements work on real software delivery projects. We care more about the projects you’ve led and the outcomes you’ve driven than your exact years of experience. Strong discovery and requirements skills — you move from conversations to structured, testable requirements quickly. Comfort in technical discussions: APIs, data flows, basic system behavior, and knowing the right questions to ask engineers. Excellent written communication — your artifacts are clear, concise, and immediately usable by both engineering and business partners. Strong stakeholder management — you build rapport, handle conflict professionally, and create alignment without force. The ability to think in workflows and data: process mapping, edge cases, exceptions, and operational controls. High integrity and maturity — you are transparent, consistent, and trusted, especially under pressure. An independent operator who can own a project end to end with minimal oversight. Nice to Have Experience in operations, finance, accounting, or control‑oriented domains (reconciliations, reporting, hand‑offs, approvals). Familiarity with agile delivery (stories, backlogs, iteration planning), while staying comfortable in less mature environments. Experience working with data stores and queries (SQL basics), or partnering on reporting and analytics needs. Exposure to event‑driven or workflow‑based systems (messaging, orchestration) and an understanding of how these affect requirements and audit trails. Why Join Work close to the business, on problems that materially improve how teams operate and make decisions. Join a delivery‑focused team that values clarity, transparency, and practical outcomes over theater. Build a strong foundation in a domain where precision matters — skills that stay valuable even as tools and AI evolve. Use AI as a productivity multiplier while developing the human strengths it can’t replace: judgment, context, trust‑building, and decision‑making. Location This role is based on‑site in New York, New York. As a consultant with a possibility for a right‑to‑hire path, you’ll partner closely with onshore clients, facilitate workshops, and drive crisp requirements that enable fast, high‑quality delivery. Values We are client first : We put our clients at the center of everything we do, because their success is the ultimate measure of our value. We work at Start‑Up Speed : We move fast, stay agile and favor action because momentum is the foundation of perfection. We are AI forward : We help our clients build the future of AI and implement it in our own roles and workflow to amplify productivity. Advantages of joining Turing Amazing work culture (Super collaborative & supportive work environment; 5 days a week) Awesome colleagues (Surround yourself with top talent from Meta, Google, LinkedIn etc. as well as people with deep startup experience) Competitive compensation Flexible working hours Don’t meet every single requirement? Studies have shown that women and people of color are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single qualification. Turing is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, marital status, disability, protected veteran status, or any other legally protected characteristics. At Turing we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace and celebrate authenticity, so if you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway.
