What You'll Do

• Conduct psychological assessments and screenings for inmates
• Develop, implement, and modify individual treatment plans
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers
• Provide individual and group counseling based on client needs
• Make rounds in confined housing areas to evaluate mental health status
• Address mental health crises with appropriate interventions
• Ensure documentation and compliance with facility standards

What You Need
Required:

• Valid license as a Psychologist (board eligible accepted)
• BLS certification (or pending)
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
• Strong knowledge of psychological assessment and therapeutic techniques
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred:

• Experience in correctional or inpatient mental health settings
• Knowledge of crisis intervention and risk management

About the Assignment
This position is within a secure, high-functioning correctional health environment dedicated to providing comprehensive mental health services. The facility promotes a team-oriented approach with supportive staff to ensure quality care and effective treatment for inmates. The assignment's duration is initially six months with the possibility for extension based on performance and facility needs.
