In this role, you will develop scalable backend services, modern developer experiences, and automation solutionsthatenableteamsacrosstheorganizationtosecurelybuild,publish,manage,andconsumeAPIs.Youwillcontributetoarchitecture,engineeringstandards,platforminnovation,andAI-poweredcapabilitieswhilementoringengineersanddrivingtechnicalexcellence.Essential Responsibilities:Design,develop,test,deploy,andsupportenterpriseAPIplatformcapabilitiesincludingAPIonboarding,governance,catalogmanagement,developerportals,andlifecyclemanagement.BuildscalableandresilientbackendservicesusingJava,SpringBoot,Node.js,RESTAPIs,GraphQL,andmicroservicesarchitecture.Developmodern,responsivewebapplicationsanddeveloper-facingexperiencesusingReactandTypeScript.Applyindustry-leadingarchitectureprinciplesincludingDomain-DrivenDesign(DDD),event-drivenarchitecture,API-firstdesign,andmicroservicespatterns.DriveautomationacrossAPIregistration,testing,compliancevalidation,securitycontrols,anddeploymentworkflowsthroughDevSecOpsandCI/CDpractices.Monitor,troubleshoot,andoptimizeproductionenvironments,improvingreliability,performance,observability,scalability,andoperationalreadiness.IntegrateandenableAI-poweredcapabilitieswithinplatformserviceswhilesupportinggovernance,testing,monitoring,andresponsibleAIpractices.Leadcodereviews,mentorengineers,contributetotechnicalstrategy,andcollaboratewithcross-functionalteamstodeliverhigh-qualitysolutions.Basic Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience- Five to six years of relevant experiencePreferred Skills/ExperienceStrongexperiencedevelopingenterpriseapplicationswithJava,SpringBoot,Node.js,andmodernAPItechnologies.Hands-onexperiencedesigningandsupportingRESTfulAPIs,GraphQLAPIs,anddistributedmicroservicessolutions.ExperiencewithAPImanagementandgovernance,includingOpenAPI/Swagger,APIlifecyclemanagement,documentation,anddeveloperenablement.ProficiencybuildingmodernwebapplicationsusingReact,TypeScript,andresponsiveUIdevelopmentpractices.StrongunderstandingofDomain-DrivenDesign(DDD),event-drivensystems,integrationpatterns,andmodernsoftwarearchitectureprinciples.ExperiencewithDocker,Kubernetes,CI/CDpipelines,automatedtesting,infrastructureautomation,andcloud-nativedevelopmentpractices.DeepunderstandingofsoftwareandAPIsecurity,includingOAuth2.0,OpenIDConnect(OIDC),JWT,securecodingpractices,andauthentication/authorizationframeworks.ExperiencewithrelationalandNoSQLdatabasessuchasPostgreSQL,Aurora,orMongoDB,includingdatamodelingandperformanceoptimization.​Experienceimplementingobservabilitysolutionsincludinglogging,monitoring,distributedtracing,alerting,andoperationaldashboards.ExperienceintegratingAI/GenAIcapabilitiesintoenterpriseapplicationsandservices.Knowledgeofpromptengineering,AIgovernance,modellifecyclemanagement,andresponsibleAIpractices.Experiencewithasynchronousmessagingandeventstreamingtechnologies.Location expectations This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.If there’s anything we can do to accommodate a disability during any portion of the application or hiring process, please refer to our disability accommodations for applicants.
