Faculty (Open Rank/Track)/Physician Surgeon

Salary: The budgeted salary range for the position is $250,000 to $550,000. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, while also considering internal equity. This position is intended to be eligible for benefits. This includes Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, a Retirement Plan, Paid time Off, and Tuition waivers for employees and dependents. The University of Illinois at Chicago Department of Surgery seeks a full-time surgeon (Assistant Professor or Associate Professor the most, junior, or intermediate level) to provide the full breadth of Transplant Surgery services. The Faculty/Physician Surgeon will function as a Transplant Surgeon. This position will be responsible for providing patient care and clinical activities in the area of Transplant Surgery. Duties & Responsibilities Assist with patient care and treatment in the area of Transplant Surgery. Assist with teaching medical students, residents and fellows. Participate in clinical research. Perform administrative duties as assigned. Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned. Minimum Qualifications M.D. Degree or a foreign equivalent Training in a Surgical Residency Program Board Certification in Surgery or eligibility for certification ASTS Certified Illinois medical license, eligibility to obtain this license Expertise in robotic surgery as applied to the field of Transplantation This job description reflects the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification.
