Supporting the merchandising and business management of our JCP Brands and Special Markets portfolio, you will serve as the primary owner of merchandising dashobards, assortment templates, line review documents, item tracking tools, and business reporting files.This role is the critical analytical and operational engine of our wholesale division. You will gather the data, maintain the tools, support the assortments, and enable the business, partnering closely with Sales, Planning, Sourcing, and Operations to translate large product and business datasets into seamless retail execution. Responsibilities Merchandising Analysis & Reporting Reporting Excellence: Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and seasonal business reports and merchandising performance trackers. Performance Analysis: Analyze product, style, category, and customer performance to identify trends, opportunities, and risks. Data Synthesis: Gather and consolidate data from multiple sources to support business reviews and decision-making. Presentations & Recaps: Develop presentations, reporting tools, and business recaps for internal and customer‑facing meetings. Data Integrity: Ensure accuracy and consistency of merchandising information, reporting, and documentation. Assortment Planning Support Planning Lifecycle: Support assortment planning, seasonal transitions, and seasonal line review processes. Insights & Recommendations: Prepare assortment analyses and product recommendations for review by the Merchandising Director. Tool Ownership: Maintain assortment planning tools, line plans, product matrices, and category tracking documents. Seasonal Execution: Assist with product selection, assortment changes, and seasonal transitions while tracking decisions across teams. Market Intelligence: Compile competitive insights, trend information, and market research to support decisions. Product Data & Execution Management Spreadsheet Ownership: Serve as the primary owner of merchandising spreadsheets, assortment templates, line review documents, item tracking tools, and business reporting files. Product Consolidation: Consolidate product information from internal and external partners to support assortment planning and business reviews. Decision Support: Create and maintain product‑level analyses used to support merchandising recommendations and assortment decisions. Cross‑Functional Coordination & Process Support Collaborative Partnerships: Partner closely with Wholesale Sales, Planning, Product Development, Sourcing, Licensing, Operations, and Digital Teams. Action Tracking: Coordinate information and follow‑up actions across teams; track project milestones, deliverables, and key deadlines (such as BDDs). Meeting Preparation: Prepare materials for line reviews, seasonal meetings, and customer presentations. Workflows & Calendars: Maintain merchandising calendars and seasonal workflows. Process Improvement: Identify process improvement opportunities within merchandising operations and document assortment decisions. Leadership & Development Domain Knowledge: Develop expertise in category management, assortment planning, and merchandising processes. Strong Partnerships: Build cohesive partnerships across Sales, Product Development, Planning, and Operations. Continuous Improvement: Continuously improve reporting tools, processes, and merchandising workflows to provide recommendations that support business decisions. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, Retail Management, Marketing, or a related field. Experience: 3–5+ years of experience in merchandising, product management, retail analysis, category management, or a related field. Excel & Data Superpowers: Strong proficiency in Excel (experience managing large data sets, spreadsheets, and reporting systems) and merchandise reporting tools. Analytical Rigor: Strong analytical and organizational skills; deep attention to detail and process management capabilities. Execution Focus: Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced revenue‑driven environment.
