MRI Technologist Opportunity At Evans Army Community Hospital

GiaCare Inc. is accepting applications from experienced MRI Technologists for a future opportunity supporting Evans Army Community Hospital at Fort Carson, Colorado. This position is being recruited in anticipation of contract award. Qualified candidates will be considered for employment upon contract award.

About the Opportunity

Join a collaborative diagnostic imaging team providing advanced magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) services to active duty service members, military retirees, and their families. This position offers the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art imaging technology while supporting exceptional patient care in a military treatment facility.

Schedule

• Full-Time
• Monday-Friday
• 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
• 30-minute unpaid lunch
• Rotating on-call responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI examinations in accordance with physician orders and established imaging protocols
• Screen patients for MRI safety and contraindications
• Prepare and position patients to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
• Administer contrast media when appropriate and within scope of practice
• Monitor patients throughout imaging procedures and respond to adverse reactions or emergencies
• Recognize imaging artifacts and equipment malfunctions and report issues appropriately
• Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record and radiology systems
• Ensure compliance with infection control, radiation safety, and MRI safety policies
• Maintain imaging equipment and assist with quality assurance activities

Minimum Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Current, full, active, unrestricted Radiologic Technologist license, if required by state law
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Current MRI certification through ARRT
• Minimum twenty-four (24) months of MRI Technologist experience within the past thirty-six (36) months
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willing to obtain)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a hospital-based MRI department
• Experience performing MRI studies on orthopedic, neurological, and trauma patients
• Strong patient care and communication skills
