Details LTAC Med/Surg Telemetry unit setting Patient ratio of 1:6 Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) Weekend shifts required as needed On-call required, including 2 on-call shifts or 2 additional shifts per 6 weeks Floating expected to a lower level of care within traveler's skillset based on critical staffing needs Holiday coverage required as part of on-call requirements Requirements Active SC or compact RN license required (pending license accepted, must be obtained before start) Current certifications: ACLS (preferred), BLS, and NIHSS Minimum 2 years of experience preferred, 1 year will be considered on a case-by-case basis LTAC or short-term acute care experience preferred Previous charge nurse experience preferred Skills in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias Respiratory and thoracic care skills, including knowledge of ventilation modes (CV, CMV, A/C, SIMV, PS, PC, IRV /- PEEP) Experience weaning patients from mechanical ventilation Recent Epic EMR experience preferred but not required Must pass arrhythmia and medication test on first day of orientation with only one attempt allowed Additional Information Provide nursing care to Med/Surg Telemetry patients in a long-term acute care setting Shaving may be required to pass an onsite respirator fit test Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be eligible; local candidates not accepted All requested time off must be submitted upfront, as later RTO requests will not be accommodated First-time travelers are welcome to apply Previous permanent staff members are not eligible to return as travelers to this health system Attendance policy in effect: missing more than two shifts per 13-week contract without reasonable explanation may result in contract review for cancellation American Traveler Job ID P-750159.
