About the Position

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical Oncology setting, including patients with solid tumors (lung, breast, pancreatic), leukemia, and bone conditions, with an average patient stay of 3-5 days
• Administer and monitor IV therapy, access ports and central lines, and perform trach care; chemotherapy administration may be required where applicable and within scope
• Operate CAD pumps and utilize EPIC for all clinical documentation and charting
• Float within the Oncology service line as needed to meet facility staffing needs
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:4-5 (Medical Oncology) or 1:3 (BMT); must pass Relias EKG exam - Interpretation and Management of Dysrhythmias required
• Participate in every-other-weekend scheduling; no on-call requirement

• Active RN license in Missouri or a qualifying compact state (MO license may be submitted without license in hand; IL license must be in hand at time of submittal)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required - must be obtained by compliance document deadline
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience; first-time travelers accepted
• Must pass the Relias EKG exam prior to start
• Must not reside within 75 miles of the facility to be eligible

• BSN preferred
• Experience with Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) nursing and/or stem cell transplantation
• Familiarity with chemotherapy administration or oncology infusion
• Prior experience charting in EPIC

• Opportunity to work at a Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma Center and teaching hospital with over 1,200 staffed beds, offering a high-acuity oncology environment for professional growth
• Expected schedule of 3 shifts per 13-week contract with defined RTO parameters, providing structure and predictability throughout the assignment
