About the Position

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a BMT Oncology unit with a 4:1 nurse-to-patient ratio and an average daily census of 30 across 32 beds
• Administer chemotherapy and support autologous stem cell transplant patients
• Administer blood and blood products; manage central lines, PICC lines, implanted ports, and IVs
• Perform telemetry interpretation and monitoring; must pass Relias EKG exam - Interpretation/Management of Dysrhythmias required
• Manage Foley catheter insertion, antibiotic and antiemetic administration, and isolation precautions
• Float throughout the Oncology department as needed based on unit census each shift

• Active RN license (MO or compact license required; compact license must match permanent residence)
• Minimum 1 year of Oncology nursing experience required
• ONS/ONCC certification required
• Chemotherapy certification required
• ACLS and BLS/BCLS required (ACLS must be obtained by compliance document deadline)
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

• Experience with autologous stem cell transplants
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records
• Experience in a Magnet-designated or Level I Trauma teaching hospital environment
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

• Opportunity to work at a large, Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma teaching facility with over 1,200 staffed beds
• Every other weekend schedule with an expected day shift rotation in a high-acuity oncology specialty setting
