Speech and Language Pathologist

Duties (include but are not limited to): • Ability to perform the functions of a Speech & Language Pathologist: Evaluation, Therapy & Consultation for children. • Possess the ability to support children with communication challenges across settings and in accessing and benefitting from the general curriculum. • Demonstrate knowledge of high quality and evidence based practices for children. • Plan and organize appropriate learning experiences that are based upon the need, interest, ability and learning style of individual child. • Demonstrate knowledge of Special Education through instructional practices. • Develop and maintain collaboration with colleagues, appropriate community agencies and education providers. • Participate in developmental screenings throughout the year for children. • Demonstrate effective skills in evaluation, screening and assessment, including adhering to state and federal guidelines and procedures. • Maintaining documentation and data collection which reflects the goals and objectives addressed through intervention. • Support and participate in developing transition opportunities for children entering or exiting the program.
