About Our Client

We are partnered with a highly reputable general contractor in the Indianapolis area that focuses on the development of its employees, career growth, and collaboration. This general contractor has a growing portfolio and is excited to bring on a few additional people to the team including an Assistant Project Manager to assist with field work and office administration tasks as delegated by the Project Manager. They work mostly in the commercial space on ground up projects anywhere from $10M - $70M in size.

Job Description

• Walk the job site and check in with subcontractors (subs) under supervision of the Senior Super
• Check and manage the daily construction schedule
• Ensure the site is clean and safe at the end of each day
• Participate in "Stretch Inflexions" (daily stretching exercises to prevent injuries and track worker health)
• Monitor all field work - look over trades and subs
• Develop daily and weekly plans and procedures for the site with the Superintendent onsite
• Help create and manage a 3-6 week look-ahead schedule to plan upcoming tasks
• Coordinate with the project management team
• Keep daily logs and upload photos to Procore
• Communicate necessary changes for change orders

The Successful Applicant

• Ground-up experience is a plus
• 2+ years of experience as a construction project engineer or assistant project manager
• Ability to work with clients
• Experience with preconstruction planning
• Willingness to learn and grow in the space
• BS Degree in Construction Management is a HUGE PLUS
