The Division Of Acute Care Surgery At Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center (NHNHRMC) Is Seeking A Board-Certified Or Board-Eligible Acute Care Surgeon To Join Our High-Volume, Academically Focused Group On The Coast Of North Carolina. This Full-Time Position Includes Clinical Responsibilities In Emergency General Surgery, Trauma, And Surgical Critical Care, With Additional Opportunities For Research, Education, And Quality Improvement.

Our Team Consists Of 8 Full-Time Acute Care Surgery Faculty Supported By Surgical Residents And Advanced Practice Providers. The Division Handles Approximately 3,800 Trauma Cases Annually, With A Similar Volume Of EGS Patients. We Are An Acs-Verified Level II Trauma Center Actively Preparing For Level I Verification.

The Hospital Is An 800-Bed Not-For-Profit Regional Referral And Teaching Center, Affiliated With The Unc School Of Medicine, And Offers A Broad Spectrum Of Medical And Surgical Specialties.

What You'll Do

• Provide Comprehensive Care In Trauma, Emergency General Surgery, And Surgical Critical Care
• Participate In The Education Of General Surgery Residents And Medical Students
• Engage In Quality Improvement Initiatives And System-Based Practice Enhancements
• Contribute To Research And Academic Productivity Within The Division
• Collaborate With Other Surgical Subspecialties Including Mis/Bariatrics, Colorectal, And Surgical Oncology

What We're Looking For

• Md Or Do Degree From An Accredited Institution
• Board Certified Or Board Eligible In General Surgery And Surgical Critical Care
• Eligible For North Carolina Medical Licensure
• Demonstrated Interest In Teaching, Research, And Quality Improvement
• Experience With Rib Plating And/Or Robotics Preferred But Not Required
