Dispatch Supervisor

Get Fresh Produce has been in business since 1982, providing fresh produce and other products to restaurants and other end users in the Chicago area. The Dispatch Supervisor position will provide day-to-day oversight of the Transportation employees at the assigned location and/or region. This role will guide drivers and ensure success by reviewing driver performance, ensuring compliance, and resolving driver and equipment issues, and routing of routes. Essential Functions Efficiently and accurately stage trailers for loading and transport while ensuring proper temperature control Follow safety protocolsincluding,performing safety checks to secure fleet Review route efficiency by utilizing PPRO and Samsara reports toidentifyopportunities Manage drivers HOS Collaborate with warehouse personnel using safety control system to remove equipment from one location to another, according to door assignments Work with Operations Manager to ensure proper equipment is used for routes, and that repairs, if any, are completed before using the equipment Ensure that our routes are accurately and completely shipped via cross checking paperwork Accurately dispatch drivers from the distribution facility with the equipment they need to service the customer (i.e.Keys, tablets, fuel cards, curb ramps, two-wheeler) May be required to reload trailers, rescue driver or recover deliveries Handling and understanding billing/shipping paperwork and check in/out processes Track and report driver attendance issues Hold meetings, perform accident/incident investigations, deliver discipline Education & Experience High school diploma or GED required At least 2+ years of experience in transportation Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Produce Pro ERP software a plus Knowledge of driver safety and DOT compliance requirements Transportation or Warehouse experience in the Food industry a plus Leadership skills with focus on morale and team motivation Must pass pre-hire drug screen and physical Must be able to read, speak, write and understand English, bilingual a plus Commercial Driver License (CDL) A Required Efficient with computer-based dispatch programs, Outlook email, and Excel spreadsheets Understand FMCSR and DOT laws/requirements Familiar with operation of unloading equipment (i.e.: liftgates, ramps, 2-wheel hand carts) Compensation Starting pay $30.00 per hour Schedule 5-day work week Sunday to Friday with Saturday and a day off during the week 40 + Hours Start time of 6:00 pm or until work is completed Mandatory Holiday shifts This is an in-person position in Whitestown, IN Benefits Benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, and Voluntary Life) PTO (Personal and Vacation Days) 401k Paid Holidays Career advancement opportunities All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to actual or perceived race, color, creed, religion, national origin, ancestry, citizenship status, age, sex or gender (including pregnancy, childbirth and pregnancy-related conditions), gender identity or expression (including transgender status), sexual orientation, marital status, military service and veteran status, physical or mental disability, genetic information, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state or local laws and ordinances. #J-18808-Ljbffr Get Fresh Produce
